Silver Eagle Introduces New Cooling Technology in the Kula “Dry Evaporative Cooling” Vest

(No plugs required.)

February 1, 2012-- In April, 2012, Silver Eagle Outfitters will expand their cooling vest options with the introduction of their new Kula™ cooling vest.  Based on the same evaporative cooling principal of their existing cooling products, the Kula vest is enhanced with new fabric technology that offers easier activation and guarantees hours of dry evaporative cooling.

Benefits of the new vest  include:
  1. The Kula vest provides DRY Evaporative Cooling using Inuteq™ patented cooling technolgy, a new means of adding water to the garment that allows the outer surfaces of the vest-- and the wearer-- remain absolutely dry.

  2. For more immediate cooling and ease of use, the Kula vest is equipped with a sealable filling point where water can be added directly to the inner material, eliminating the need for submersion.

  3. While still offering the same cooling effectiveness for which Silver Eagle cooling vests are known, the Kula vest’s combination of new materials expands the effective cooling time to 24 hours or more.

Like the cooling vests that have brought heat-relief to Silver Eagle customers since 2000, the Kula vest is activated by adding water, which then absorbs into an interior material that maintains its density and weight, even after water has been added. The absorbent inside is sandwiched between two layers of water-proof breathable fabric that keep the moisture away from the wearer, allowing it only to escape away from the body through evaporation.

In Silver Eagle’s standard cooling vests, this water is added through the process of submersion, either using the included activation bag or some other source. Though the surface moisture is wicked away from the wearer and dries quickly, it still requires that the moisture enter the fabric through the outside-- which limits the kind of waterproofing that can be used in the surface materials.

The Kula vest solves this issue by offering a way to add the water to the inside of the vest through a sealable filler hole.  Activation takes seconds:  just open, pour, and work the water through the material. The combination of innovative, waterproof of fabrics keeps the outer surface completely dry.  And, like all Silver Eagle products, the Kula vest is machine washable and guaranteed for quality and satisfaction.

The vest is expected to be available for sale on the SilverEagleOutfitters.com or CoolingApparel.com website in April of 2012.  To receive more information, contact Silver Eagle Outfitters.
