Silver Eagle Microfiber Performance Wear Offers All-Season Comfort and
Sun Protection
HUNTSVILLE, Alabama—December 7, 2005— Anyone who has donned a cooling vest or hat made by Silver Eagle Outfitters is familiar with the company's commitment to quality and effectiveness in protecting against rising temperatures. With the addition of its sun-protective microfiber performance wear—which includes a variety of new moisture-wicking tee-shirts—to their already expansive line of comfort apparel, Silver Eagle escalates their use of performance fabrics to span the comfort requirements of all seasons. Made of a silk-weight microfiber, Silver Eagle's performance wear helps regulate body temperature so you stay fresh, light, and comfortable in all climates.
Made of fibers one hundred times finer than human hair, the fabric used in Silver Eagle's performance wear is lightweight without being flimsy. Because microfibers are so fine, many fibers can be packed together very tightly while remaining porous enough to breathe and to wick body moisture away from the body. As well, the microfiber fabric is relatively strong and durable in relation to other fabrics of similar weight and is able to resist wrinkling, have a luxurious drape and body, retain shape, and resist piling.
Silver Eagle's performance wear also features tempraDRY® technology for enhanced durability and sun protection. This combination of fabric weaves and wicking solution works to rapidly wick moisture to the outside of the fabric, where it quickly evaporates. TempraDry provides anti-microbial, anti-odor and anti-static features, plus a UPF sun protective rating of 50, for excellent protection from the sun's harmful UV rays. A wide variety of styles and colors are available, including long and short-sleeve mock-turtleneck and standard crewneck designs in sizes ranging from XS to 4XL. While most provide a perfect fit for men and women, a woman's style v-neck with capped short-sleeves is also available to offer a feminine cut for the female shape. In June, Silver Eagle plans to introduce its PERFORM FIT line of performance wear. Made with tempraDry microfiber and elastane, PERFORM FIT offers base layer compression fit, raglan sleeves for increased range and mobility, and flat seamed stitching. PERFORM FIT will be available in short-sleeve, crew neck and long-sleeve mock turtleneck styles, ranging in sizes XS-4X with a retail price of $22.95 to $35.98.
